Kumiko Lantern Workshop

Regular price $270.00 USD
Regular price Sale price $270.00 USD

In this two-day, hands-on workshop, you’ll create your own Japanese kumiko lantern from start to finish. Beginning with a set of materials, you’ll learn how to craft traditional kumiko panels using precision tools and time-honored techniques. Once your panels are complete, you’ll back them with shoji paper, frame it, and add legs to bring the lantern form together. To finish, we’ll install the lamp hardware so you can bring your lantern to life at home. By the end of the workshop, you’ll not only take home a beautiful, functional light but also a deeper understanding of kumiko woodworking and its quiet rhythm of patience and detail.
