Charlton Makes! May 31 - June 9, 2024

Charlton Makes! is an annual pop-up exhibition and workshop series highlighting the creative talent that abounds within a short radius of Main Street Studio in Saratoga County, NY. This year’s event will run from May 31 - June 9.

Come out to see what your neighbors have made over the long winter: furniture, metalwork, painting, textiles, pottery, jewelry, sculpture, woodturning, photography, hand-made objects for the home & garden, local farm products and many other surprises!

Charlton Makes! coincides with Charlton's Founders Day Weekend, and there will be plenty going on in our little historic hamlet! Here's the full schedule of events:

  • Friday, May 31 - Exhibit open from 10am - 5pm
  • Friday, May 31 - Exhibit Opening Reception, 6pm-9pm (Open to all, Free!)
  • Saturday, June 1 - Exhibit open from 10am - 5pm
  • Saturday, June 1 - Weave a wall-hanging flower basket with Patti Brousseau - 9am - 1pm
  • Saturday, June 2 - Exhibit open from 10am - 5pm
  • Sunday, June 2 - Kumihimo! A traditional Japanese technique for making braided cords and bracelets. This is a kid's class!
  • Sunday June 2 - Watch the Founders Day Parade from Main Street Studio! 2pm - 3pm
  • Sunday June 2 - Woodturning Demonstration with BHBL student Simon Rieffel. 3:30 - 4:00
  • Wednesday June 5 - Exhibit open from 10am - 5pm
  • Wednesday June 5 - Painting with Wool - Flat needle felting with Mallory Zondag - 1pm - 5pm
  • Thursday June 6 - Exhibit open from 10am - 5pm
  • Friday June 7 - Exhibit open from 10am - 5pm
  • Friday June 7 - Build a bluebird house with Jason Nemec 10am - 1pm
  • Friday June 7 - Live music with "Studio Blue" - 7pm - 9pm
  • Saturday June 8 - Exhibit open from 10am - 5pm
  • Saturday June 8 - Build a bluebird house with Jason Nemec - 9am - 12pm
  • Saturday June 8 - Shibori and natural indigo with Renee Johnson - 1pm - 4pm
  • Saturday June 8 - Cold Process Artisan Soap Making with Tabatha McFee - 6pm - 8pm
  • Sunday June 9 - Exhibit open from 10am - 5pm
  • Sunday June 9 - Eco-dyed silk scarf with Maeve Kane - 10am - 12pm
