The show titled “Counter/Balance” represents one year of thinking and talking, and three months of collaborative making between Jason Nemec and Lesley Black-Vogel. Both accomplished artists in their respective mediums of wood and clay, they share an obsession with the way a simple form can wear a rich surface. They are both less interested in controlling and dominating a material, but instead hold a child-like fascination with unforeseen outcomes, accidents/surprises and play.
Join us at the Studio on Thursday, November 21 from 6:30–7:30 for an informal discussion about design process, materials and collaboration with Jason and Lesley.
Where: Main Street Studio, 786 Charlton Road, Charlton NY 12019
When: Thursday, November 21 6:30 – 7:30pm
Free and open to the public.
