Eco-printing is a natural dyeing technique that creates beautiful botanical prints on fabric from live or dried plants. In this two-hour workshop, Maeve Kane, one of our local natural dyeing experts, will walk us through the process of preparing the fabric, selecting and arranging local plants for color, and then steaming the material to make a lasting imprint on a silk scarf that you can take home with you.
Maeve has a wealth of knowledge about local plants and natural dyeing techniques and will share many examples of what you can create on your own using materials you can find right in your own backyards or kitchens!
