There are so many types of clay ceramic artists can choose from! Clay can have different colors and textures, some have big speckles, some have none…the combinations of clay bodies and glazes seem unlimited!

For this “Charlton Makes!” workshop series, we invite you to come in and experiment with us! Join us and ceramic artist, Rebecca Cigal, for a guided pinch pot workshop using different combinations of clay and glazes.

During the first session, you will get to pick the two types of clay you would like to use and Rebecca will share basic techniques and inspirations for shaping and embellishing small pinch pot bowls. You’ll probably notice some differences in how the different clays feel, you might even want to take some notes for the next time!

In the second session, you will see examples of how the glazes that we have in the studio react to the different clay types. You can choose the same or different glazes for your two pieces and do your own little experiment!

We can’t wait to see how different everyone’s little pots will be!

Note, this is a two-part workshop series that takes place on two different days, and you can register for either the afternoon or the evening workshop series!
