In this series of two evening workshop sessions with Rebecca Cigal, you will learn hand-building techniques to form, shape and decorate stoneware clay to create a lidded box - perfect to be used as a salt cellar, jewelry keeper or holder of special treasures.
The first session will focus on building a sturdy clay base and lid that fit together snugly. Rebecca will also demonstrate ways to create and add decorative embellishments to make your box unique. During the second session, you will learn different glazing techniques and have access to a variety of glazes to finish your box and lid. After glazing, all of the pieces from the class will get fired in the kiln and your finished box will be available for pickup starting on May 7.
This is a great class for beginners and anyone with experience that is looking for a fun night out to play with clay!
