Get creative with Mallory Zondag while exploring wet felting and needle felting to create dense, layered felt that will absorb heat and create the perfect surface for your cup of coffee or hot pots. Chose your own design themes or subject matter that speaks to you and get needle felting guidance to create interesting patterns and imagery on the surface of your coasters. Each person will create 4 coasters or one large trivet, perfect for gift giving this holiday season!
Whether you are new to felting, or spend all your time thinking about all the cool things you can make with wool (like we do!)... spending time in the studio with Mallory will help you develop your skills and material knowledge as well as feed your creative spirit! This workshop is a great way to get access to a lot of materials, Mallory's indepth process knowledge and.. make something cool!

About Mallory Zondag
Mallory Zondag is a Mixed Media Fiber artist and artist educator. She graduated from Pratt Institute with a BFA in Fashion Design and her work has been exhibited in both solo and group shows in New York, Pennsylvania, Virginia and the Ukraine. She has been an artist in residence at The Allentown Art Museum, The Wassaic Project and many schools and community organizations. During many of these residencies she has led community art programs where felted wool living walls are collaboratively created with students of all ages and abilities. She was commissioned to create the sensory space for Artsquest's Accessible Arts program and was recently commissioned to recreate a component of one of Amalia Mesa-Bains's installations for her retrospective at the Berkeley Art Museum and Pacific Film Archive.
Mallory currently travels around the Northeast teaching workshops, leading community art programs and installing shows. We are so fortunate to have her in our community!
