Main Street Studio Community Build: Founders' Day Puppet Procession
For the past 3 months or so, over 100 people have attended free community build sessions, assembling a procession of puppets celebrating our small town of Charlton's historical hamlet of Harmony Corners.
We built four 14-foot-tall square dancing backpack puppets, a two-person buffalo, a strawberry carton, and dozens of props on sticks, and hundreds of tiny flags! The puppets were marched mostly by the folks that worked on the build.
Each of these elements speaks to the character and identity of this tiny rural hamlet. We were thrilled to organize this project and can't wait to add to it again next year.
